Jackie Weston

Top Award for Management Student

Reid Kerr College recently hosted the 7th Annual Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Best Management Student Awards.  With a selection of the best management students from Renfrewshire & Inverclyde recognised on the night, the top award was presented to Jackie Weston for the CMI Executive Diploma Student of The Year.

Jim McAllister programme Director said, "Jackie is a very worthy recipient of this award. She always showed enthusiasm and energy in her approach to her study programmes, setting herself high standards both within her workplace and her studies."

The event was well attended with representatives from various public sector organisations, the Chartered Management Institute, fellow Reid Kerr management students and College staff.  Ciaran Dyar, Managing partner of Emerge Education in Dublin delivered a guest presentation.

Ron McNeil, Branch Education Officer with the CMI added, "Locally the Chartered Management Institute is active in a number of areas. These range from encouraging young people to think ahead towards extending their personal development into Management, through to existing managers continuing their professional development.  Our links with Reid Kerr College have allowed us to recognise the success of its students doing our Certificate, Diploma and Executive Diploma courses and the three award winners skilfully demonstrated their achievements at this year's Best Management Student Awards."
