Professional Development Award in Management Accounting
Aim:
To provide a qualification that covers a range of financial cost and management accounting skills (both manual and computerised). This new PDA offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking employment in management accounting. It is also suitable for continuous professional development for individuals already employment.

Applicants should have a good general education up to Higher Level.
Contents:
This course consists of 2 double credit SQA units: Cost Accounting and Management Accounting, Using Information Technology. This covers a range of cost accounting techniques for product costing and control, together with the preparation of management accounts using Excel spreadsheets.

Home based self-study with a tutor to contact for help and advice
Assessment:
Assessments are continuous and last the duration of the course. A variety of assessment methods are used some must be undertaken in supervised conditions either in college or in a suitable alternative location by an appropriate invigilator.
