Aim:
To set up and operate a financial accounting system using a commercial software package (SAGE).
Length of Study:
18 weeks with tutor support.
Entry Requirements:
Knowledge of the operation of a manual financial accounting system and the preparation of final accounts.
Contents:
Setting Up Ledger Accounts Using a Commercial Software Package (SAGE), Processing Business Transactions, Incorporating Adjustments into Ledger Accounts, Preparing Accounting Reports.
Study Method:
Home-based self-study with a tutor to contact for help and advice. Computer facilities can be arranged within the College.
Assessment:
There is one assessment that must be taken under supervised conditions. Access to a computer required.
Cost:
£100 + £12.50 SQA Fees.
If student has completed Sage Accounting for Beginners with Reid Kerr College then the cost will be £50 + £12.50 SQA Fee.
