Assessor & Verifier Awards A1/V1
The Assessor & Verifier Awards are designed for people involved in assessing and verifying the competence of individuals for national certification. The awards are recognised thoughout the UK and form part of the S/NVQ's in Learning & Development.
Candidates are taught the underpinning knowledge required to meet the national standards. They will develop the skills necessary to assess in the workplace, e.g. Planning, Observation, Questioning and Document Design. The additional skill of Quality Auditing is also developed on this course.
A1: Assess Candidate Using a Range of Methods
V1: Conduct Internal Quality Assurance of the Assessment Process.

Entry Requirements: Candidates for this award must have experience and/or qualifications in the area in which they will be assessing. They will also require access to andidates in the workplace at a training centre or in a college who are working towards a National Qualification.
Mode of study: Part-Time, Flexible, Work Based & Online.
Progression To: Associated Management & Training Qualifications, Professional Awards and S/NVQ Programmes.
Career Paths: Progression within a training, assessment and verifying role in organisations.

Contents:
The Assessor course develops skills necessary to assess skills in the workplace. ie Planning, Observation, Questioning & Document Design. The Internal Verifier Course covers Internal Quality Procedures and Processes.
