Enterprising Ideas for the Public
Fresh smoothies, t-shirt making, valentines arts and crafts and money saving tips are all part of a unique event taking place around Renfrewshire this Friday 10th February. Business students from Reid Kerr College in Paisley will be hosting two unique events at the Piazza Paisley and Braehead Shopping Mall.
The students who are delivering the event as part of their enterprise unit at College, are looking forward to meeting members of the public and sharing their affordable fashion tips, ideas for Valentines day on a budget, money saving ideas and they will be peddling their way to a fresh fruity experience with a smoothie bike, making some tasty drinks for FREE.
Come along to Piazza Paisley at 9.30am this Friday where you will see the groups, ‘Money Talks’ & ‘Dressed to a T’ or if you are at Braehead you can meet the students talking about ‘Affordable Fruity Fun’ & ‘Valentine’s Day Dining’ also from 9.30am in the Upper Mall.
- Reid Kerr College is using this event as a fun and creative way for students to share their money management skills and build links with the local community.
- The team is running the event to enter the Money for Life Challenge - a new, national competition that provides a fun way for students in further education, and their communities, to develop vital money management skills. The team is hoping that the event will help get them to the UK Grand Final in London where they could win £2,500 for the registered charity of their choice.
